Ho‘opili and Its Meaning

D.R. Horton-Schuler Division worked with native Hawaiian cultural experts to identify an appropriate name for this new community

• The name Ho‘opili — which means coming or bringing together in Hawaiian — was selected as best describing the philosophy and intent of the new development.

The Ho‘opili Community Task Force approved the name as appropriate.

• When built, D.R. Horton-Schuler Division and the Ho‘opili Community Task Force hope that residents will “ho‘opili” within this innovative new community.

Sustainable communities provide lots of parks, open space and community facilities.
